Frequently Asked Questions

Are my notes private?

Yes, all notes are stored locally in your browser's storage on your device. We don't save your notes on any server, and they are not accessible to anyone but you on your device.

Will I lose my notes if I clear my browser data?

Yes, clearing your browser's local storage will delete all saved notes. Before clearing browser data, make sure to export important notes using the "Export" button to save them externally.

Is there a limit to how many notes I can create?

The limitation is based on your browser's local storage capacity, which is typically 5-10MB. This allows for hundreds of notes, but if you encounter storage limits, you'll receive a notification to export and delete older notes.

Can I access my notes from different devices?

Since notes are stored locally in your browser, they're only available on the device where you created them. To access notes on another device, you'll need to export them from your original device and import them on the new one.

Can I recover deleted notes?

Once deleted, notes cannot be automatically recovered. We recommend exporting important notes regularly as a backup measure.
